Instructor of Nursing (Simulation Lab Coordinator)

The nursing arts/simulation position willl be a full-time, non-tenure track, one year, grant funded appointment. Responsibilities associated with this position are as follows: coordinating nursing arts/simulation lab (NASL) to meet the best practive model standards; travel between two campuses, as needed; teach and supervise student learning of psychomotor skills; maintain equipment and supply needs for NASL; establish NASL student fees; maintain NASL to meet regulation and accreditation standards; develop policies and procedures for NASL; coordinate with faculty to develop scenarios and experiences with simulation; ensure simulation outcomes correlate with curriculum outcomes; participate in faculty committees; assist in in debriefing scenarios using best practice models; assist in training of faculty in the use of full range simulation models; seek granty opportunities to promote NASL lab and for updating skills for future growth in the department.
Education, training, experience:
The R.N. will hold a bachelor's degree in nursing and active licensure in the state of Missouri (or be eligible for licensure in Missouri). Preferred qualifications include: pursuit of master's degree in nursing and three to five years' experience in clinical nursing. Experience in low, mid, and high fidelity simulation and scenario development desired.
